Charles James Ferguson Davie was born on 16 March 1872.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Robert Ferguson Davie and Anne Clarissa Andrews.2 He married, firstly, Charlotte Elizabeth Hull, daughter of Professor Edward Hull, on 3 November 1902.1 He married, secondly, Marie Antoinette Hax, daughter of J. A. Hax, on 24 January 1948.1 He died on 11 September 1963 at age 91.1
     Rt. Rev. Charles James Ferguson Davie graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Doctor of Divinity.1 He held the office of Bishop of Singapore between 1909 and 1927.1 He was the Warden of the Anglican Hostel between 1933 and 1944 at Fort Hare College.1
