     Captain Sir William Hanham, 8th Bt. was born on 8 May 1798.1 He was the son of Rev. Sir James Hanham, 7th Bt. and Anne Pyke.2 He married Harriet Morgan, daughter of G. Morgan, on 6 November 1823.1 He died on 27 March 1877 at age 78, without issue.1
     Captain Sir William Hanham, 8th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Hanham, of Dean's Court, Wimborne, Dorset [E., 1667] on 2 April 1849.1
