     John Hoskyns was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.¹ He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hereford between 1604 and 1629.¹ He was a practising Serjeant-at-law in 1623.¹ He also had a daughter.¹

     Benedicta Moyle is the daughter of Robert Moyle.² She married John Hoskyns, son of John Hoskyns and Margery Jones, on 1 August 1601.¹
     From 1 August 1601, her married name became Hoskyns.

     Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt. was the son of John Hoskyns and Benedicta Moyle.² He married, firstly, Anne Bingley, daughter of Sir Henry Bingley, in 1634.¹ He married, secondly, Dorothy Kyrle, daughter of Francis Kyrle, in 1655.¹ He died on 10 February 1679/80.¹
     Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt. was admitted to Middle Temple in 1631 entitled to practice as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Bencher of the Middle Temple.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wendover in 1640.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hereford between 1640 and 1648.¹ He held the office of Treasurer of the Middle Temple.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Herefordshire between 1656 and 1659.¹ He held the office of Treasurer of the Middle Temple.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Hoskyns, of Harewood, co. Hereford [England] on 18 December 1676.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹

     Anne Bingley is the daughter of Sir Henry Bingley.² She married Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt., son of John Hoskyns and Benedicta Moyle, in 1634.¹
     From 1634, her married name became Hoskyns.

     Sir John Hoskyns, 2nd Bt. was born on 23 July 1634.¹ He was the son of Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt. and Anne Bingley.² He married Jane Lowe, daughter of Sir Gabriel Lowe and Agnes Hungerford, on 29 August 1671.¹ He died on 12 September 1705 at age 71.¹
     Sir John Hoskyns, 2nd Bt. held the office of Master in Chancery between 1676 and 1703.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Hoskyns, of Harewood, co. Hereford [E., 1676] on 10 February 1679/80.¹ He held the office of President of the Royal Society in 1682.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hereford between 1685 and 1687.¹

     Sir Gabriel Lowe married Agnes Hungerford.¹
