     John Hoskyns was born in 1566.1 He was the son of John Hoskyns and Margery Jones.2 He married Benedicta Moyle, daughter of Robert Moyle, on 1 August 1601.1 He died on 27 August 1638.1
     John Hoskyns was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.1 He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hereford between 1604 and 1629.1 He was a practising Serjeant-at-law in 1623.1 He also had a daughter.1

     Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt. was the son of John Hoskyns and Benedicta Moyle.2 He married, firstly, Anne Bingley, daughter of Sir Henry Bingley, in 1634.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Kyrle, daughter of Francis Kyrle, in 1655.1 He died on 10 February 1679/80.1
     Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt. was admitted to Middle Temple in 1631 entitled to practice as a barrister.1 He held the office of Bencher of the Middle Temple.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wendover in 1640.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hereford between 1640 and 1648.1 He held the office of Treasurer of the Middle Temple.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Herefordshire between 1656 and 1659.1 He held the office of Treasurer of the Middle Temple.1 He was created 1st Baronet Hoskyns, of Harewood, co. Hereford [England] on 18 December 1676.1 He was a practising barrister.1

     Sir John Hoskyns, 2nd Bt. was born on 23 July 1634.1 He was the son of Sir Bennet Hoskyns, 1st Bt. and Anne Bingley.2 He married Jane Lowe, daughter of Sir Gabriel Lowe and Agnes Hungerford, on 29 August 1671.1 He died on 12 September 1705 at age 71.1
     Sir John Hoskyns, 2nd Bt. held the office of Master in Chancery between 1676 and 1703.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Hoskyns, of Harewood, co. Hereford [E., 1676] on 10 February 1679/80.1 He held the office of President of the Royal Society in 1682.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hereford between 1685 and 1687.1
