     Sophia Hoare was born on 13 September 1814.1 She was the daughter of Peter Richard Hoare and Arabella Penelope Eliza Greene.2 She married Reverend Henry Burney on 25 August 1842.1 She died on 24 September 1872 at age 58.1
     From 25 August 1842, her married name became Burney.

     Sir John Esplen, 1st Bt. was born on 7 April 1863.2 He married Laura Louise Dickenson, daughter of John Dickenson, on 26 January 1898.2 He died on 7 February 1930 at age 66.2
     Kent.2 He was sr dir Esplen, Sons & Swainstone, consulting engrs and naval architects, ch technical advsr Minister Shipping WW I.2 (s of William Esplen, of Blundellsands).2 Canterbury.2 He gained the title of 1st Baronet Esplen. He lived Hardres Court.2 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1918.2 On 14 July 1921 so created.2
