     Sir Frederick Carl Bovenschen is the son of Carl Bovenschen.1 He married Mabel Alice Acland, daughter of Sir Arthur Herbert Dyke Acland, 9th Bt. and Alice Sophia Cunningham, on 1 February 1919.1
     Sir Frederick Carl Bovenschen held the office of Joint Permanent Under-Secretary of War.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1
