     Lieutenant Frederick William Joseph Macdonald Miller was born on 21 December 1891.1 He was the son of Sir William Frederick Miller of Glenlee, 5th Bt. and Mary Augusta Augusta Manning.1 He died on 23 October 1914 at age 22, killed in action.1
     Lieutenant Frederick William Joseph Macdonald Miller fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1

     Patrick Miller is the son of Patrick Miller and Lindsay (?).2 He married Matilda Cuming, daughter of Thomas Cuming, in 1804.1
     Patrick Miller gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 12th Lancers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumfriesshire between 1790 and 1796.1
