     He emigrated with his parents to Canada arriving on 1 July 1905 on board Southwark.1 He fought in the First World War.1

Everard Strangways Neave and Annie Laura Douglas-Hamilton.3 He married Amy Charlotte Balfour Hay Paterson, daughter of Peter Hay Paterson and Amy Hay Johnson, on 25 October 1910.1 He died in 1951 at St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1,2
     He was given the name of Everard Reginald Neave at birth.1 He was educated at Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon, England.2 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1900 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 In 1910 his name was legally changed to Everard Reginald Hay-Neave by Royal Licence.1 He was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He held the office of District and Sessions Judge UP in 1923.1 He held the office of Acting Judge of the High Court [Allahabad] between 1924 and 1926.1
