     He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1945 in the Royal Artillery.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1951 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was with the North Nigeria Civil Service between 1952 and 1961.2 He graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG, in 1953 with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Agricultural Engineering.2
He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1957 with a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Agriculture.1 He was with R. A. Lister & Company between 1962 and 1963.2 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Hudson, of Wanlip Hall, co.
