     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He lived at Westbrook Hay, Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1
