     Basil Richard Henry Osgood Taylour was born on 16 March 1904.1 He was the son of Captain Basil Reginald Hamilton Taylour and Harriet Mary Osgood.1 He married Gwendoline Edith Marion Evans, daughter of William Evans, on 5 January 1935.1 He died in 1969.1
     Basil Richard Henry Osgood Taylour was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1929 entitled to practice as a barrister.1 He was solicitor for the Straits Settlement in 1934.1
