Harold Boyd-Rochfort was born on 18 July 1882.² He was the son of Major Rochfort Hamilton Boyd-Rochfort and Florence Louisa Hemming.² He married, firstly, Winifred Akroyd, daughter of John Bathurst Akroyd, on 7 January 1909.^1,2 He and Winifred Akroyd were divorced in 1922.² He married, secondly, Iris Dorothea Taylor, daughter of James Benjamin Taylor, on 24 April 1935.² He died on 21 April 1960 at age 77.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of officer in the service of the 4th Scottish Rifles.² He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.² He gained the rank of officer in the service of the 1st Battalion, Munster Fusiliers.² He gained the rank of officer in the service of the 21st Lancers.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.² He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.² He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.² He fought in the Second World War, on staff.² He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.²

     Diana Nancy Boyd-Rochfort was born on 13 March 1910.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Harold Boyd-Rochfort and Winifred Akroyd.¹ She married Brigadier John Pell Archer-Shee on 22 July 1953.¹
      From 22 July 1953, her married name became Archer-Shee.¹

     Iris Dorothea Taylor was the daughter of James Benjamin Taylor.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Harold Boyd-Rochfort, son of Major Rochfort Hamilton Boyd-Rochfort and Florence Louisa Hemming, on 24 April 1935.¹ She died on 5 September 1973.¹
      From 24 April 1935, her married name became Boyd-Rochfort.¹

     James Benjamin Taylor lived at Lance Levy, St. James, Cape Province, South Africa.¹

     Florence Louisa Hemming was the daughter of Richard Hemming.¹ She married Major Rochfort Hamilton Boyd-Rochfort on 1 May 1875.¹ She died on 14 October 1944.¹
      From 1 May 1875, her married name became Boyd-Rochfort.¹
