Major George Raymond Seymour was born on 5 May 1923.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Reginald Henry Seymour and Winifred Akroyd.1 He married Hon. Mary Quenelda Stanley Ismay, daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg, on 9 September 1957.1
