     Lt.-Col. Geoffrey Charles Tasker Keyes, V.C. was born on 18 May 1917.1 He was the son of Admiral Roger John Brownlow Keyes, 1st Baron Keyes and Eva Mary Salvin Bowlby.2 He died on 18 May 1941 at age 24 at Libya, killed in action, while leading a Commando raid on General Rommel's HQ.1
     Lt.-Col. Geoffrey Charles Tasker Keyes, V.C. fought in the Palestine Campaign between 1938 and 1939.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Scots Guards.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.) in 1941.1 He was decorated with the award of Victoria Cross (V.C.) (posthumously).1
