     Brigadier James Robert Johnson is the son of Lt.-Col. Robin Ingelow Bradshaw Johnson.2 He married Hon. Diana Margaret Keyes, daughter of Admiral Roger John Brownlow Keyes, 1st Baron Keyes and Eva Mary Salvin Bowlby, on 9 June 1936.1
     He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1

Diana Margaret Keyes.2 He married, firstly, Alison Laing Waugh, daughter of Hector Laing Waugh, on 17 July 1969.1 He and Alison Laing Waugh were divorced in 1971.1 He married, secondly, Susan W. Davies in August 1972.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Reading University, Reading, Berkshire, England, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).1
