Captain Frederick William Heneage was born on 17 July 1843. He was the son of Edward Fieschi Heneage and Charlotte Frances Anne Rolleston. He married Ann Lawrence Mary Gordon, daughter of Maj.-Gen. E. C. A. Gordon, on 11 August 1880. He died on 1 November 1881 at age 38.
