     Arthur George de la Poer Beresford was born on 18 November 1853. He was the son of George William de la Poer Beresford and Elizabeth Hannah Nicholson MacLean. He married Ellen Stuart Mayo, daughter of George Mayo, on 7 April 1877. He died in 1924.

     Ellen Stuart Mayo was the daughter of George Mayo. She married Arthur George de la Poer Beresford, son of George William de la Poer Beresford and Elizabeth Hannah Nicholson MacLean, on 7 April 1877. She died on 3 January 1946.
     Her married name became Beresford.

He married Mary Elizabeth Ryan, daughter of James Joseph Ryan and Catherine Grady, in 1910. He died on 28 June 1965 at age 87 at Sacred Heart Hospice, Darlinghurst, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was buried at Catholic Lawn, Woronora Cemtery, Sutherland, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1
