     Brigadier Anthony John Le Grand Jacob was the son of Lt.-Col. Rupert Montague Jacob.1 He married Beatrix Barratt Crofton, daughter of Charles D'Arcy Crofton and Mary Helen Elizabeth Gearing, on 25 September 1938.1 He died on 24 December 1983.1
     Brigadier Anthony John Le Grand Jacob was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Royal Engineers.1
