     Sir Robert Pollock, 1st Bt. was born circa 1665.2 He is the son of Robert Pollock of Pollock and Jean Crawfurd.2 He married Annabella Stewart, daughter of Walter Stewart.2 He died on 22 August 1735.2
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Pollock, of Nether Pollok, co. Renfrew. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Scotland] between 1700 and 1707.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1707 and 1722.2

     Sir Robert Crawfurd-Pollock, 3rd Bt. was born on 16 April 1762 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Sir Hew Crawfurd, 2nd Bt. and Robina Pollock.1 He married Mary Mushet, daughter of Dr. William Mushet, on 11 August 1793 at St. Luke, Chelsea, London, England.1,3 He died on 7 August 1845 at age 83 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in December 1845.1
     He was given the name of Robert Crawfurd at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the British Army.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Crawfurd, of Kilbirnie, co. Ayr [N.S., 1628] on 1 July 1794.1 In 1820 his name was legally changed to Robert Crawfurd-Pollock after succeeding to his mother's estates.1 He lived at Pollok Castle, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.1

     Mary Mushet was born circa 1770.2 She was the daughter of Dr. William Mushet.1 She married Sir Robert Crawfurd-Pollock, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Hew Crawfurd, 2nd Bt. and Robina Pollock, on 11 August 1793 at St. Luke, Chelsea, London, England.1,2 She died on 26 February 1826 at York, Yorkshire, England.2
     From 11 August 1793, her married name became Crawfurd-Pollock.1
