     Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 4th Bt. and Mary Murray.2 He married Lady Henrietta Cuninghame, daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Cuninghame, 13th Earl of Glencairn and Elizabeth Maguire, in 1778.1 He died on 5 June 1815.1
     Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 5th Bt. succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Don, of Newton Don [N.S., 1667] on 2 October 1776.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1778 in the service of the Southern Fencibles.1

     Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 4th Bt. was born in 1794 at Taunton, Somerset, England.1 He was the son of Hew Crawfurd and Jane Johnstone.1 He married Elizabeth Oswald Dunlop, daughter of Matthew Dunlop, in 1839.1 He died on 5 March 1867 at Pollok Castle, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1
     Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 4th Bt. was baptised with the name of Hew Crawfurd.1 On 7 August 1845 his name was legally changed to Hew Crawfurd-Pollok.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Crawfurd, of Kilbirnie, co. Ayr [N.S., 1628] on 7 August 1845.1
