     Walter Cunliffe, 1st Baron Cunliffe was born on 4 December 1855.¹ He was the son of Roger Cuncliffe and Ann Edge.² He married, firstly, Mary Agnes Henderson, daughter of Robert Henderson, on 10 June 1890.¹ He married, secondly, Edith Cunningham Boothby, daughter of Colonel Robert Tod Boothby, on 8 July 1896.¹
     Walter Cunliffe, 1st Baron Cunliffe was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1882 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He was a director of the Bank of England in 1895.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.¹ He held the office of Deputy-Governor of the Bank of England between 1911 and 1913.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of London in 1913.¹ He held the office of Governor of the Bank of England between 1913 and 1918.¹ He was created 1st Baron Cunliffe, of Headley, Surrey [U.K.] on 14 December 1914.¹ He was decorated with the award of Grand Cross, Order of St. Anne of Russia (1st Class).¹ He was decorated with the award of Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan.¹ He was decorated with the award of Grand Cross, Order of the Redeemer of Greece.¹ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1917.¹ He was decorated with the award of Grand Cross, Order of the Crown of Italy.¹ He was decorated with the award of Commander, Order of Leopold of Belgium.¹ He was decorated with the award of Commander (Legion of Honour).¹ He graduated from Columbia University, New York City, New York, U.S.A., with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.).¹

     Mary Agnes Henderson was the daughter of Robert Henderson.² She married Walter Cunliffe, 1st Baron Cunliffe, son of Roger Cuncliffe and Ann Edge, on 10 June 1890.¹ She died on 29 November 1893, without issue.¹
     From 10 June 1890, her married name became Cunliffe.

     Hon. Geoffrey Cunliffe was born on 26 August 1903.¹ He was the son of Walter Cunliffe, 1st Baron Cunliffe and Edith Cunningham Boothby.² He married, firstly, Patrick Sidney Frend, daughter of Robert Benjamin Frend, on 16 August 1922.¹ He married, secondly, Gavrelle Thomas, daughter of William Arthur Thomas, in September 1941.¹ He married, thirdly, Barbara Waring Gibb, daughter of Dr. J. A. Gibb, in 1947.¹ He and Gavrelle Thomas were divorced in 1947.¹ He died in 1982.¹
     Hon. Geoffrey Cunliffe graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was Member of the I&E Council, Board of Trade in 1941.¹

     
     Robert Benjamin Frend lived at Ardsallagh, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     Patrick Sidney Frend was the daughter of Robert Benjamin Frend.² She married Hon. Geoffrey Cunliffe, son of Walter Cunliffe, 1st Baron Cunliffe and Edith Cunningham Boothby, on 16 August 1922.¹ She died in October 1940.¹
     From 16 August 1922, her married name became Cunliffe.

     Robert George Cunliffe was born on 20 June 1923.¹ He was the son of Hon. Geoffrey Cunliffe and Patrick Sidney Frend.² He died on 14 February 1945 at age 21, killed in action during air operations over Germany.¹
     Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Peter Cunliffe was born on 29 May 1925.¹ He was the son of Hon. Geoffrey Cunliffe and Patrick Sidney Frend.² He married Barbara Marion Phillips, daughter of H. F. Phillips, on 27 April 1955.¹ He died in 1987.¹
     Peter Cunliffe was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹
