     Victor Russell John Nightingale of Cromarty was born on 26 March 1887.1 He is the son of Samuel Nightingale and Rosa Ellen Wrout.2 He married, firstly, Bathsheba Buhay, daughter of Manheim Buhay, on 1 January 1913.1 He married, secondly, Blanche Edyth Marsden, daughter of Captain Charles William Harrington Marsden, on 7 July 1942.1 He died on 15 April 1951 at age 64.1
     Victor Russell John Nightingale of Cromarty gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Indian Army.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was member of the London Stock Exchange.1 He was proprietor with Hilaire Belloc of The Weekly Review.1 He was partner of J. and A. Scrimgeour.1

     Herbert Paul Nightingale was born on 22 June 1888.1 He was the son of Samuel Nightingale and Rosa Ellen Wrout.2 He married, firstly, Edith Cecil Cuninghame, daughter of Alexander Cuninghame, on 1 April 1911.1 He married, secondly, Adrienne Margaret Houston, daughter of Charles Cornelius Houston and Rachel Beatrice Dashwood, on 10 November 1934.1
     Herbert Paul Nightingale graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He lived at Sydenham, Kent, England.1
