     Edward Egerton Leigh-White was born on 23 June 1876.1 He was the son of Egerton Leigh and Lady Elizabeth Mary Gore Hedges-White.1 He married Arethusa Flora Gartside Hawker, daughter of Peter James Duff Hawker, on 27 April 1904.1 He died on 28 February 1920 at age 43.1
     Edward Egerton Leigh-White was baptised with the name of Edward Egerton Leigh.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 On 26 July 1897 his name was legally changed to Edward Egerton Leigh-White by Royal Licence.1 He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1899 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Cork.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cork in 1903.1 He lived at Bantry House, County Cork, Ireland.1
