Susan Hamilton was the daughter of John Hamilton. She married, firstly, James Howard Harris, 3rd Earl of Malmesbury, son of James Edward Harris, 2nd Earl of Malmesbury and Harriet Susan Dashwood, on 1 November 1880. She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen Sir John Charles Ardagh on 18 February 1896. She died on 21 November 1935.
