     Susan Hamilton was the daughter of John Hamilton.1 She married, firstly, James Howard Harris, 3rd Earl of Malmesbury, son of James Edward Harris, 2nd Earl of Malmesbury and Harriet Susan Dashwood, on 1 November 1880.1 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen Sir John Charles Ardagh on 18 February 1896.1 She died on 21 November 1935.1
     She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 After her marriage, Susan Hamilton was styled as Countess of Malmesbury on 1 November 1880. From 1 November 1880, her married name became Harris. From 18 February 1896, her married name became Ardagh.

     He was styled as Lord Ossulston between 1859 and 1879.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1870 in the Coldstream Guards.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1873 in the Rifle Brigade.1 He fought in the Afghan War between 1878 and 1879.1

     George Montagu Bennet, 7th Earl of Tankerville was born on 30 March 1852.1 He was the son of Charles Augustus Bennet, 6th Earl of Tankerville and Lady Olivia Montagu.1 He married Leonora Sophia van Marter, daughter of James G. van Marter, on 23 October 1895.1 He died on 9 July 1931 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Midshipman between 1867 and 1869 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1872 and 1880 in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1876 and 1880.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northumberland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Ossulston, of Ossulston, co. Middlesex [E., 1682] on 18 December 1899.1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Tankerville [G.B., 1714] on 18 December 1899.1

     Leonora Sophia van Marter was the daughter of James G. van Marter.1 She married George Montagu Bennet, 7th Earl of Tankerville, son of Charles Augustus Bennet, 6th Earl of Tankerville and Lady Olivia Montagu, on 23 October 1895.1 She died on 15 February 1949.1
     She was with the Voluntary Aid Detachment.1 Her married name became Bennet. After her marriage, Leonora Sophia van Marter was styled as Countess of Tankerville on 18 December 1899.

     Charles Augustus Ker Bennet, 8th Earl of Tankerville was born on 16 August 1897.2 He was the son of George Montagu Bennet, 7th Earl of Tankerville and Leonora Sophia van Marter.2 He married, firstly, Roberta Nolan, daughter of John Nolan, on 20 October 1920.2 He and Roberta Nolan were divorced in 1930.2 He married, secondly, Violet Pallin, daughter of Erik Pallin, on 1 July 1930.2 He died on 1 December 1971 at age 74.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Air Service.2 He gained the rank of First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Air Force.2 He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Tankerville [G.B., 1714] on 9 July 1931.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Ossulston, of Ossulston, co. Middlesex [E., 1682] on 9 July 1931.2 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.2 He was founder of Chillingham Wild Cattle Association.2
