     Sir Hugo Cunliffe-Owen, 1st Bt. was born on 16 August 1870.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Philip Cunliffe-Owen and Jenny von Reitzenstein.2 He married, firstly, Helen Elizabeth Oliver, daughter of James Oliver, on 31 December 1918.1 He married, secondly, Maurica Martha Shaw, daughter of Herbert Shaw, on 20 April 1935.1 He died on 14 December 1947 at age 77.1
     Sir Hugo Cunliffe-Owen, 1st Bt. was educated at Brighton College, Brighton, Sussex, England.1 He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was Controller of Eastern Propaganda, Ministry of Information in 1918.1 He was a director of Eagle Star Insurance.1 He was chairman of Cunliffe-Owen Aircraft Ltd.1 He was president of BAT.1 He was a director of Midland Bank.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cunliffe-Owen, of Bray, co. Juliana Eveline Curzon, daughter of Richard Nathaniel Curzon, 2nd Viscount Scarsdale and Mildred Carson Dunbar, on 3 July 1956.1 He and Hon. Juliana Eveline Curzon were divorced in 1962.3 He married, thirdly, Jean Forsyth, daughter of Surgn.-Cdr. A. N. Forsyth, on 10 March 1964.1 He died on 17 July 1983 at age 60.1
     Sir Dudley Herbert Cunliffe-Owen, 2nd Bt. gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Cunliffe-Owen, of Bray, co.
