     Sir Robert Staples, 8th Bt. was born on 13 February 1772.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Staples, 7th Bt. and Mary Barker.2 He died on 24 June 1832 at age 60, unmarried.1
     He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] in 1816.1
