     Sir John Staples, 5th Bt. was born on 22 September 1684 at Tuam, County Galway, Ireland.1,3 He was the son of Sir Robert Staples, 4th Bt. and Mary Vesey.2 He married Mary Goslin.1 He died, without male issue.1 He died in 1730.3
     Sir John Staples, 5th Bt. succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 21 November 1714.1 He had two other daughters.1
