     Robert Williams was born in 1509.2 He was the son of John Williams and Margery Baker.2 He married, firstly, Anne Trenchard, daughter of Henry Trenchard.2 He married, secondly, Anne de la Lynde, daughter of Sir Thomas de la Lynde.2 He died in 1569.2
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Dorset in 1567.2 He lived at Herringston, Dorset, England.2 He had two other daughters by his second wife.2
