Sir Francis Wyndham was the son of Sir Edmund Wyndham and Susan Townshend.2 He married, firstly, Jane Bacon, daughter of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Anne Cooke.1 He died in July 1592, without issue.3
He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn entitled to practice as a barrister.3 He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln's Inn in 1569.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk between 1572 and 1583.3 He was a practising Serjeant in 1577.3 He held the office of Recorder of Norwich in 1578.4 He held the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in 1579.3 He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3
