Cecil Francis William Fane was born on 7 October 1856.1 He was the son of Robert George Cecil Fane and Harriete Anne Blackwood.1 He married, firstly, Lady Augusta Fanny Rous, daughter of John Edward Cornwallis Rous, 2nd Earl of Stradbroke, on 8 May 1880.1 He and Lady Augusta Fanny Rous were divorced in 1904.1 He married, secondly, Muriel Ellen Harvey, daughter of John Selwyn Harvey, on 19 November 1904.1 He died on 30 January 1914 at age 57.1
