     Captain Clifton Charles Orby Gascoigne was born on 7 March 1870.3 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Clifton Gascoigne and Francis Charlotte Wombwell.2 He married Sybil Mary Clive, daughter of General Edward Henry Clive and Isabel Webb, on 23 July 1896.1 He died on 30 June 1940 at age 70.1
     Captain Clifton Charles Orby Gascoigne lived at Henley Hall, Ipswich, Suffolk, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Seaforth Highlanders.1
