Maurice de Vesci Wingfield was born on 8 April 1866. He was the son of Richard Robert Wingfield and Fanny Castle. He married Ethel Grey Sharpe, daughter of George Sharpe, on 11 November 1908. He died on 14 November 1940 at age 74.
