John Fitzpatrick, 1st Baron Castletown of Upper Ossory was born illegitimately on 23 September 1807 at London, England.1 He was the son of John FitzPatrick, 2nd Earl of Upper Ossory.1 He married Augusta Mary Douglas, daughter of Reverend Archibald Douglas and Lady Susan Murray, on 5 May 1830 at Carnallway, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He died on 22 January 1883 at age 75 at 32 Hertford Street, Mayfair, London, England.1 He was buried on 25 January 1883 at Grafton Underwood, England.2 His will was probated on 17 May 1883, at over £37,000.2
