     Mervyn William Cole Bowen was born on 3 March 1875.1 He was the son of Robert St. John Cole Bowen and Elizabeth Jane Clarke.2 He married, firstly, Mary Florence Wild, daughter of John Wild, in March 1901.1 He married, secondly, Rose Aileen D'Aguilar, daughter of Frank D'Aguilar, in 1928.1 He died on 20 August 1950 at age 75.1
