     Kathleen Elsie Kough was born on 29 December 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Macgregor Kough and Mary Elsie Reay.² She married, firstly, John Reginald Hinton on 19 October 1932.¹ She married, secondly, James Nimmo Forrester Blackater on 1 August 1946.¹ She died on 12 December 1995 at age 86.¹
     From 19 October 1932, her married name became Hinton. From 1 August 1946, her married name became Blackater.¹
