     Susan Boyter Duncombe Shafto is the daughter of Major Ernest Duncombe Shafto and Sybil Boyter Johnson.1 She married John Dashwood, son of Sir John Lindsay Dashwood, 10th Bt. and Helen Moira Eaton, on 12 November 1959.1 She and John Dashwood were divorced in 1964.1
     From 12 November 1959, her married name became Dashwood.1
