     Lady Mary Saville was the daughter of William Saville, 2nd Marquess of Halifax and Lady Mary Finch.1 She married Sackville Tufton, 7th Earl of Thanet, son of Colonel Sackville Tufton and Elizabeth Wilbraham, on 11 June 1722.1 She died on 30 July 1751.1
     From 11 June 1722, her married name became Tufton.1

     Sackville Tufton, 8th Earl of Thanet was born in August 1733.1 He was the son of Sackville Tufton, 7th Earl of Thanet and Lady Mary Saville.1 He married Lady Mary Sackville, daughter of Lord John Philip Sackville and Frances Leveson-Gower, on 30 July 1767.1 He died on 27 March 1786 at age 52.1
     Sackville Tufton, 8th Earl of Thanet was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Earl of the Isle of Thanet, co. Kent [E., 1628] on 4 December 1753.1

     Sackville Tufton, 9th Earl of Thanet was born on 30 June 1769.1 He was the son of Sackville Tufton, 8th Earl of Thanet and Lady Mary Sackville.1 He married Anne Charlotte de Bojanovitz on 28 February 1811.1 He died on 24 January 1825 at age 55, without issue.1
     Sackville Tufton, 9th Earl of Thanet succeeded to the title of 9th Earl of the Isle of Thanet, co. Kent [E., 1628] on 27 March 1786.1

     Charles Tufton, 10th Earl of Thanet was educated at Military School, Angers, France.1 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1787 in the service of the 66th (Durham) Regiment of Foot.1 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1788 in the service of the 7th (Royal Fusiliers) Regiment of Foot.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1793 in the service of the Balfour's Regiment of Foot.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Earl of the Isle of Thanet, co. Kent [E., 1628] on 24 January 1825.1

     Henry Tufton, 11th Earl of Thanet was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1790 in the service of the 26th (Cameronian) Regiment of Foot.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1793 in the service of the Independent Company of Foot.1 He was educated at Military School, Angers, France.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Rochester between 1796 and 1802.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Appleby between 1826 and 1832.1 He succeeded to the title of 11th Earl of the Isle of Thanet, co. Kent [E., 1628] on 20 April 1832.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant for Kent between 1841 and 1846.1 On his death, his titles became extinct.1
