     Ulick de Burgh Browne, 7th Marquess of Sligo was born on 30 March 1898.1 He was the son of George Ulick Browne, 6th Marquess of Sligo and Agatha Stewart Hodgson.1 He died on 7 January 1941 at age 42, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Captain and Adjutant in the 2nd Dragoons.1 He fought in the First World War between 1917 and 1918.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Monteagle of Westport, co.      He succeeded as the 7th Baron Stanhope of Elvaston, co.
