     Thomas Brereton is the son of Thomas Brereton and unknown wife (?).2 He married Mary Carroll, daughter of James Carroll, before 1729.1
     He lived at Clonanchy, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 On 2 December 1766 he leased Rathurles (180 acres) for 24 years from Michael Carroll (a relation of his wife).1 He was living in 1767.1

     Mary Carroll was born circa 1693.1 She was the daughter of James Carroll.2 She married Thomas Brereton, son of Thomas Brereton and unknown wife (?), before 1729.1 She died in September 1783.1
     From before 1729, her married name became Brereton.

     John Brereton was born in 1729.1 He was the son of Thomas Brereton and Mary Carroll.2 He married Margaret Watson, daughter of George Watson, in 1767.1 He died between 1 May 1813 and 3 May 1813.1
     He lived circa 1790 he built the Rathurles mansion house.1 He lived at Clonanchy, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 He lived at Rathurles, Nenagh, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1
