     John Robert Brereton was born in 1817.1 He was the son of John Brereton and Anne Marie Hackett.2 He married Mary O'Moore, daughter of Garrett O'Moore, The O'Moore.1 He died in 1871.1
     John Robert Brereton was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was admitted to King's Inns entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He lived at Parsonstown, County Offaly, Ireland.1

     Mary Letitia Longfield Brereton was the daughter of John Robert Brereton and Mary O'Moore.2 She married General Sir Garrett O'Moore Creagh, V.C., son of Captain James Creagh and Grace Emily O'Moore, in May 1874.1 She died in September 1876.1
     From May 1874, her married name became Creagh.

     General Sir Garrett O'Moore Creagh, V.C. was the son of Captain James Creagh and Grace Emily O'Moore.2,1 He married Mary Letitia Longfield Brereton, daughter of John Robert Brereton and Mary O'Moore, in May 1874.1 He died on 9 August 1923.1
     General Sir Garrett O'Moore Creagh, V.C. was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1 He was decorated with the award of Victoria Cross (V.C.).1
