Henry Roper, 11th Baron Teynham was born on 7 May 1733. He was the son of Henry Roper, 10th Baron Teynham and Catherine Powell. He married, firstly, Wilhelmina Head, daughter of Sir Francis Head, 4th Bt., on 2 June 1753. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Webber, daughter of Joseph Webber, on 1 October 1760. He died on 10 December 1786 at age 53.
