Henry Roper, 8th Baron Teynham was born circa 1676.1 He was the son of Christopher Roper, 5th Baron Teynham and Hon. Elizabeth Browne.1 He married, firstly, Catherine Smythe, daughter of Philip Smythe, 2nd Viscount Strangford and Mary Porter, on 25 January 1703/4. He married, secondly, Mary Gage, daughter of Sir John Gage, 4th Bt. and Mary Stanley, on 22 January 1715/16. He married, thirdly, Anne Lennard, Baroness Dacre, daughter of Thomas Lennard, 1st Earl of Essex and Lady Anne Palmer, in March 1718.2 He died on 16 May 1723.
