Sir Moses Haim Montefiore, 1st and last Bt. was born on 24 November 1784.1 He was the son of Joseph Elias Montefiore and Rachel de Mattos Mocatta.1 He married Judith Cohen, daughter of Levi Barent Cohen, on 10 June 1812.1 He died on 28 July 1885 at age 100, without issue.1
