     Ronald Philip Murphy was born on 18 February 1931.1 He was the son of Norbert Nicholas Murphy and Margaret Scroope.2,1 He married Elizabeth Mary Peto, daughter of Brigadier Sir Christopher Henry Maxwell Peto, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Close, on 28 May 1958.1 He died circa 15 July 2012.3
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He was director of Cork Distilleries Ltd before 1966.1 He was director of Irish Distillers Ltd in 1966.1 He lived at Shippool House, Innishannon, County Cork, IrelandG.1

     Brigadier Sir Christopher Henry Maxwell Peto, 3rd Bt. was born on 19 February 1897.2 He was the son of Sir Basil Edward Peto, 1st Bt. and Mary Matilda Annie Baird.3 He married Barbara Close, daughter of Edwyn Thomas Close and Evelyn Isabel Goldsmid, on 3 October 1935.2 He died on 19 May 1980 at age 83.2

     Elizabeth Mary Peto was born on 8 July 1936.2 She is the daughter of Brigadier Sir Christopher Henry Maxwell Peto, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Close.3,4 She married Ronald Philip Murphy, son of Norbert Nicholas Murphy and Margaret Scroope, on 28 May 1958.1
     From 28 May 1958, her married name became Murphy.1 She lived at Shippool House, Innishannon, County Cork, Ireland.2
