     Lt.-Col. Brinsley John Hamilton FitzGerald was born on 25 September 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Peter George FitzGerald, 1st Bt. and Julia Hussey.2 He married Margarita Armstrong, daughter of John A. Armstrong, on 5 January 1918.1 He died on 9 February 1931 at age 71.1
     Lt.-Col. Brinsley John Hamilton FitzGerald fought in the Boer War, as Aide-de-Camp to Viscount French.1 He fought in the First World War, as Private Secretary on the personal staff of the Commander-in-Chief.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd County of London Yeomanry.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1916.1 He was decorated with the award of Legion of Honour.1 He was decorated with the award of Croix de Guerre.1 He was decorated with the award of Order of Leopold of Belgium.1

Rozet.3 She and Anthony Joseph Drexel were divorced circa 1915.3 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Brinsley John Hamilton FitzGerald, son of Sir Peter George FitzGerald, 1st Bt. and Julia Hussey, on 5 January 1918.1
     Her married name became Drexel.1 From 5 January 1918, her married name became FitzGerald.
