Reverend Daniel Patrick Fitzgerald was born on 28 June 1916.1 He is the son of Sir John Joseph FitzGerald, 2nd Bt. and Mary Thomasine Burke.2

Sir Edward FitzGerald, 1st Bt. was born on 24 November 1846.1 He was the son of Daniel FitzGerald and Elizabeth Corcoran.2 He married Johanna Anne O'Donoghue, daughter of John O'Donoghue, on 31 January 1872.1 He died on 22 June 1927 at age 80.1
Sir Edward FitzGerald, 1st Bt. held the office of Lord Mayor of Cork between 1901 and 1903.1 He was created 1st Baronet FitzGerald, of Geraldine Place, Cork [U.K.] on 10 October 1903.1 He was decorated with the award of Order of the Sacred Treasure of Japan.1
