     Sir Donald Charles MacGillivray was the son of Evan James MacGillivray.2 He married Louisa May Knox-Browne, daughter of Mervyn William Charles Nesbitt Knox-Browne and Mary George, on 1 September 1936.1 He died on 24 December 1966.1
     Sir Donald Charles MacGillivray was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.).1 He held the office of High Commissioner of the Federation of Malaya between 1954 and 1958.1 He held the office of Chairman of the Kenya Council of State between 1958 and 1963.1
