     Reverend John Byers was baptised on 5 June 1830.¹ He was the son of Samuel Byers and Susan Maclean.² He married Margaret Morrow, daughter of Andrew Morrow, in 1852.¹ He died in 1853, at sea near New York.¹

     Samuel Byers was born on 3 October 1838.¹ He was the son of Samuel Byers and Susan Maclean.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Mandale, daughter of Isaac Mandale and Martha Bell, on 16 January 1868.¹ He married, secondly, Jane Halliwell Dempster, daughter of Robert Dempster, on 3 June 1899.¹ He died on 11 March 1922 at age 83.¹
     Samuel Byers was Land Commissioner.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Armagh.¹ He lived at Mowhan House, Mowhan, County Armagh, Ireland.¹

     Mandale Byers was born on 3 March 1870.¹ He was the son of Samuel Byers and Elizabeth Mandale.^2,1 He married Maud Mary Hamilton Leslie, daughter of George Leslie and Alice Hamilton, on 18 November 1919.¹ He died on 28 October 1923 at age 53,.¹
     Mandale Byers was educated at Royal Academy, Armagh, County Armagh, Ireland.¹ He graduated from Queen's College, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.).¹ He graduated from Queen's College, Belfast, County Antrim, England, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.).¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He lived at St. Anne's-on-Sea, Lancashire, England.¹ He lived at Mowhan House, Mowhan, County Armagh, Ireland.¹

     George Leslie married Alice Hamilton, daughter of George Hamilton.¹
     George Leslie lived at The Old Manse, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society of Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.).¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).¹

     Maud Mary Hamilton Leslie was the daughter of George Leslie and Alice Hamilton.^2,1 She married Mandale Byers, son of Samuel Byers and Elizabeth Mandale, on 18 November 1919.¹ She died on 24 March 1963.¹
     From 18 November 1919, her married name became Byers.

     Alice Mary Hamilton Byers was born on 2 October 1920.¹ She is the daughter of Mandale Byers and Maud Mary Hamilton Leslie.² She married Major John Wheeler Aggleton, son of Hubert Poile Aggleton, on 2 March 1955.¹
     Alice Mary Hamilton Byers was in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the Second World War.¹ She was decorated with the award of Chevalier, Order of Leopold II of Belgium.¹ She was decorated with the award of Croix de Guerre (Belgian, avec palme) in 1946.¹ She retired from the military in 1955, with the rank of Major, late of the Women's Royal Army Corps.¹ From 2 March 1955, her married name became Aggleton.
