     Thomas Dawson was born circa 1630.1 He was the son of Thomas Dawson.2 He died in 1683.1
     He obtained a patent to erect Moyola estate into a manor by the name of Castledawson.1 He was Deputy-Commissary of Musters of the Army.1 In 1667/68 he was granted the lands of Fennor, County Meath under the Act of Settlement.1 He lived at Dawson's Bridge, Magherafelt, County Londonderry, IrelandG.1

     Thomas Dawson was born in 1653.1 He was the son of Thomas Dawson.2 He married Olivia Upton, daughter of Arthur Upton and Dorothy Beresford.1 He died in 1731/32.1
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Antrim between 1695 and 1699.1 He lived at Castledawson, County Londonderry, IrelandG.1

     Joshua Dawson was born circa 1660.1 He was the son of Thomas Dawson.2 He married Anne Carr, daughter of Thomas Carr, in January 1695/96.1 He died in 1725.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 6 April 1725.1
     He held the office of Collector of Dublin in 1703.1 In 1710 he built the Mansion House, Dublin.1 He held the office of Secretary for Ireland in 1710.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Wicklow from 1713 to 1714.1 He lived at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
