     Sir James Hugh Thomas Devitt, 3rd Bt. was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.1 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Devitt, of Chelsea, in the County of London [U.K., 1916] on 23 December 1995.1 He was Governor of Pangbourne College.3 He was registered as a Professional Associate, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (A.R.I.C.S.).1 He lived in 2003 at The Old Rectory, Ford Lane, Alresford, Essex, England.1
