     He was educated at St. Columba's College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He fought in the First World War, with Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He was Director of Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1949.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tyrone.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tyrone.1 He lived at Corkil, Kilskeery, County Tyrone, Ireland.1
